Jesse’s Story - Low Back pain

I grew up riding dirt bikes. My back was hurt after an accident and I could tell something was off, but again I just thought, oh it's just I'm just sore from riding. But I was like bent over and I couldn't stand up straight.

I laid down on the concrete and just thought something is wrong, like something happened. That was the moment where I think I did some sort of injury that now has kind of carried forward for years. And that pain actually had a really significant impact on my life.

It's the times or the memories with my kids where they'd be wanting me to do something with them and I would either say no I can't because it was I was in too much pain or I would say yes and then knowing that that one day of fun might cost me two or three days you know of being in pain. So those are some pretty low points for sure in my life. You just feel stuck like a prisoner in your own body.

But it wasn't until a friend of mine, I was having lunch with him and he said have you heard of Align? And it was almost like well it kind of sounds too good to be true the way he was describing it, but I was willing to try anything besides surgery. I remember I came in I don't know if I was limping or crawling or some combination of of the two. I was in pretty rough shape.

I'm not sure what point it was but Jamie looked at me and was like Jesse we will fix this. Like we can fix you. And I think at that moment there was a shift of like wow how can she be so confident? Like no one's ever told that to me before.

And I was like okay they're gonna fix me. That was super helpful almost like it wasn't just me doing this but I really felt like I had a partner. So maybe it was the six month or nine month mark where there was a shift between like getting myself out of pain and kind of into more of a place of stability.

I remember that being pretty encouraging. I would have to make choices before. Am I going to choose say a bike ride with my daughter and and be in pain the following day? Or am I going to miss out on that and be able to go to work the next day? And now I don't have to choose.

Now I can say yes to almost anything and all the stuff that I love. And it doesn't cost me anymore and I owe that to Align.
